justprompts Is there such a thing as truly wiping the slate clean and starting over?
No.

There's dust when you wipe the slate clean. Even if you use water, that leaves behind residue as well. If you throw the slate out the window it doesn't disappear. If you smash it into a million pieces, those pieces still exist.

I have started over many times so I know. All the dust and all the broken pieces are always still there.

Chalk dust is beautiful. And water, when it falls in drops on the table. The cheapest glass can glitter like crystal when crushed. It's wondrous if you know how to look.

Stars start over, just like us. Everything starts over eventually. Everything… continues.

No, there is no such thing as wiping the slate clean. And there shouldn't be. Recycling is good for the environment.

Go green.

I never know how to answer those how are you questions. But I'm just fine.

ooc: Gah, I was away all weekend, sorry. But thank you! I was looking at the prompts for something else but this just leapt out at me for Lorna and I thought well, why not? She's my girl ;) <3333333333!

I'm glad to hear it. And Katie and Sam? How are they? Hope 2011's off to a good start for all of you.

OOC: No worries, I've been busy with family stuff most of the week anyway. And you are welcome! This is so very Lorna, and I particularly love the last line. :)

Katie's great, you probably wouldn't recognize her. Sam you can talk to yourself a few comments up. We're still trying to figure things out, but, we're good. How's the mansion? And the baby! You probably don't even think of her as a baby anymore.

Little lady, huh? And good is good! You guys'll get there.

The mansion is... busy -- you know, back from the holidays and all that entails. And Gabi was fifteen months on the 5th. She's walking, and talking, getting ready to be a big sister...* and I think part of me will always think of her as a baby. I drove Remy nuts when she turned a year old. Mommy was so not prepared for that.

*Remy mun's insanely busy, so we kind of handwaved the announcement.

Everything is busy this time of year, isn't it? You are a brave woman to have two kids under three but then they'll probably be spoiled rotten by all their aunties and uncles. Congratulations to all three of you.

It is, it's insanity. Brave? Logan seems to think crazy is a better word. :P And thank you, I wish I could say we know what it is, but it's not quite as cooperative as Gabi was.

Aws. It's still early, right? Are you hoping one way or the other or just happy?

Almost 20 weeks, so we've got time, but it'd be nice to pick out a theme for the crib bedding and stuff that wasn't totally generic. And we already have the girl so it'd be nice to have a boy and have one of each, but I don't have a preference either way. I think Remy's hoping for a little more testosterone in the family, though. He's kind of outnumbered. ;)
